Jan and Jeff Ausfahl worked behind the scenes of Broadway and film musicals in New York City. Then they moved to the hills of Pennsylvania. Jeff replaced his fancy jazz guitar with a banjo and frying pan. Jan stopped using city-slicker words and picked up the washboard and penny whistle.
Cracked Walnuts was born.
We now entertain folks from New England to Florida with knee-slappin’ songs from the Civil War to Prohibition, to the Beverly Hillbillies.
Pure Americana with Banjo, Washboard, Penny Whistle and Frying Pan.
